It's Been a While...

Sorry. A lot has been going on that I don't care to write about at this moment, though I'm sure I will in the future.

Did see the movie Syecdoche, New York. I'm a huge Charlie Kaufman fan. At first, I was a bit disappointed (I think he needs to have Spike Jonze direct all of his work), but some of the writing in it is his best ever. I particularly like this speech from the minister near the end of the movie:

Everything is more complicated than you think. You only see a tenth of what is true. There are a million little strings attached to every choice you make; you can destroy your life every time you choose. But maybe you won't know for twenty years. And you'll never ever trace it to its source. And you only get one chance to play it out. Just try and figure out your own divorce. And they say there is no fate, but there is: it's what you create. Even though the world goes on for eons and eons, you are here for a fraction of a fraction of a second. Most of your time is spent being dead or not yet born. But while alive, you wait in vain, wasting years, for a phone call or a letter or a look from someone or something to make it all right. And it never comes or it seems to but doesn't really. And so you spend your time in vague regret or vaguer hope for something good to come along. Something to make you feel connected, to make you feel whole, to make you feel loved. And the truth is I'm so angry and the truth is I'm so fucking sad, and the truth is I've been so fucking hurt for so fucking long and for just as long have been pretending I'm OK, just to get along, just for, I don't know why, maybe because no one wants to hear about my misery, because they have their own, and their own is too overwhelming to allow them to listen to or care about mine. Well, fuck everybody. Amen. from Synecdoche, New York Charlie Kaufman

And this quote at a funueral:
There are nearly thirteen million people in the world. None of those people is an extra. They're all the leads of their own stories. They have to be given their due.

In reading about this movie on the internet I have more huge praise for Wikipedia. I looked up the MacArthur "Genius" Grant, browsed the list of recipients, randomly clicked a few names, and came upon the Dui Hua Foundation, which to this date sounds like the best, smartest, most well organized group aimed at improving things in China. Kudos to the Foudation for giving the grant to this dude. I want to get a job there.

China blocked YouTube again because someone posted some video of Chinese cops beating Tibetans again. Yawn. I wouldn't even know about it it wasn't for YouTube being blocked. Fucking retards bring more attention to themselves.

Feeling myself almost become old enough to be an artist. It's a lot like Jesus starting his ministry, ha ha.

Have lots of good sex lately with a smokin' little hottie....... No time to write (here at least). Ok, fine, here's a teaser: Her pussy is really sweet. I mean she really tastes sweet. I’m serious, it has a high sugar content. I’ve actually been contemplating whether it’s a more a dietary thing or like genetic. I mean, I don’t see her eating a lot of actual candy, so it could it be related to carbs? Would eating a lot of rice and/or noodles lead to a sweeter tasting pussy?
